24th Pioneer day is coming up
I had to give a talk in our new ward on Sunday. Micky actually got made Bishop of the 218th ward at BYU...we used to attend the 212th in the same building at 12:30...we now must arrive before 9 bells! a.m. that is!
The subject was on my Pioneer heritage...and i was reading my AUnt Verda's red book she and cousin Carol (now a missionary with hubby in Mongolia!!) put together about our Grandpa Nelson's mission to Samoa and Tonga...and his folk and also Grandma Vera's folks (WIlcox side)...that is such an incredible read! Thank you both for doing that!
I only had 8 small minutes of time to express myself and impress 100 or so borderline asleep young people in the audience....Micky shoulda knowed I coodnot speak for such a tiny miniscule moment of time!!! SO i went ahead and took acouple more for posteritysake...how can you do justice to a handcart in 8 minutes???
We had just returned from a fun time in Melba with The Parry People reunionizing there for a day or two...we did have to leave early as said Micky had to conduct Said meeting said SUnday A>M>...
we also attended the Nampa Idaho Stampede...micky's cousin, Dennis is in charge (for many years afore also) everyone seemed to know him when we asked...photos following...
