Liard HOT SPRINGS

This is what all the hoopla is about....hot HotSprings! We drove and drove to get to this sight. We even drove on a closed mountain pass
road with semi's off all over the place! to get to this spot in the road...the campground was full but when we got there many had gone home because of the weather the night before. The wind blew so hard it uprooted several trees which actually FELL on some trailers! Noone was hurt...AND one tree landed a few inches from their outhouse! Wierd weather. We were driving in a whiteout most of the day...missed ALL that GOrgous scenery! we'll have to come back someday...??? So here I am with tons of layers of all my clothes just to walk 10 minutes down this wooden walkway....

to THIS...................there are ferns growing all around and even in the summer a certain orchid blooms that is not found anywhere else in the world.....

Remember rotten egg smell from chemistry class or even at Yellowstone Park??? That is what we smelled like when we got out...

This is a baby they had here....it was like at 10 at night and it never gets dark anymore....it is midnight as I type and it is still light outside and tons of people walking everywhere...wierd...

We did get up to 70 with blue skies today and it is supposed to be nice allweek....yay! We are heading to Skagway tomorrow....
